Motion Control – Van Nuys, CA – A Series of powerful Low-Profile Push Type Clapper Solenoids from Magnetic Sensor Systems (MSS) are 2.625 in. (66.8mm). in diameter with a body length of 1.56 in and total plunger length of 4.00 in. (101.6 mm), ideal for applications where short strokes and high forces are required.
The motion control S-16-261 Series of 18 Push Type of Clapper Solenoids have ampere turns (windings) adjusted to meet the specific force and duty cycle requirements of an application. These powerful solenoids with up 130 lbs. (578 N) of force have a non-captive plunger with a 1.00 in. (25.4 mm) stroke and can be operated at a variety of duty cycles (voltage dependent). The stroke can be set and the plunger can become captive by placing a lock nut on the threaded part of the shaft
These solenoids are supplied with 4-inch leads and an optional built-in spring to extend the plunger when power is removed. The 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) dia. shaft with 5/16-18 threads through a plain bearing extends 2.44 in. (61.98 mm) beyond the mounting surface. Mounting is via two 1/4-20 threaded studs on 1.75 in. (44.5 mm) bolt circle. Applications include: Valve control, locks, starters, ventilators, clamping, sorting, appliances, tools, HVAC, brakes, clutches, switches, mixing, fire suppression systems, door controls, detent latches and sorting equipment.
These clean, high efficiency, low cost, precise open frame solenoids can be operated at a variety of duty cycles (voltage dependent) and are the ideal choice for: Medical dispensing, mixing, valve control, disconnects, vending machines, farm machinery, transmission shifting, fire suppression systems, cabinet locks, door controls, and sorting equipment.
